This comprehensive and independent cost study was undertaken to evaluate a number of structural frame options for construction of a four storey 480 bed Acute Care Hospital with operating theatres, and a two storey 96 bed Community Hospital. Six floor design options were evaluated, budget costings were assigned to all elements of construction and adjustments were made to reflect time-related costs attributable to differences in the construction programme.
