BS 8204[1,2], BS EN 13670[3], National Structural Concrete Specification 4th edition[4] and Concrete Society Technical Report No 34 4th edition[5] all give level to datum and surface regularity tolerances for concrete slabs. A survey will give the slab tolerance at that specific moment, typically soon after construction, but changes in level will occur with time. Specifications need to consider these effects and in particular with the ongoing deflection of suspended slabs.
