The series Appearance Matters, published in its original format as nine booklets between 1980 and 1982 by the former Cement and Concrete Association and reprinted by its successor British Cement Association, has been redrafted as four publications: Visual concrete – Planning and assessment; Visual concrete – Finishes; Visual concrete – Control of blemishes; and Visual concrete – Weathering, stains & efflorescence.
This publication deals with the effects of natural forces such as rain and sunlight and unnatural forces such as pollution on concrete surfaces. Also includes advice on treatment of stains and efflorescence.
